Part 2: Explanation

So you guessed right and the rumors are true!

Joey and I love Prego Sauce.....oh wait no that isn't it.

Oh yeah, we are Pregnant! We are expecting a beautiful baby to become a part of our family on November 9th, 2011. Although Joey is hoping that the baby will come on Nov. 11, 2011, which we told our doctor and she said that she will do all she can to make this happen, hehe.

I am 15 weeks pregnant which means I am in my second trimester. I was pretty lucky and didn't get too sick in the first trimester, just a little bit of morning sickness but I was able to keep it calm if I kept eating little meals/snacks throughout the day. I feel like I am showing but Joey just laughs at me.

We have already had an ultrasound and seen the squirmy little baby and heard its heart beat. It was an amazing experience and made it finally feel real. We are super excited, we will start posting pictures of my baby bump as soon as Joey agrees that I have one!

UPDATE: In the graduatation blog post I forgot to say what our majors were. Joey graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Management with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Family Consumer and Human Development with an emphasis in Family and Community Services. Joey and I are now living in Bear Lake for the summer.

Graduation: Utah State University 2011

Joey and I are officially graduates from Utah State University. I have been done since Dec. but they only do a Spring Commencement and Graduation so Joey and I were able to graduate together. He finished up his semester with all A's which I am very proud of him. He had a busy and stressful semester full of projects and case studies. I didn't really see the point in walking, but I told Joey that if we could find me a cap and gown I would walk. We both had friends with a cap and gown that they let us borrow so we did it. At commencement Joey and I sat across from each other so we were able to sit and make faces at one another. After commencement we waited for my parent's to bring us food (Thank You so much I don't think I would have made it without food). The School of Business was walking at 12 and the Education College was walking at 2. We were planning on having a long day. Well, Joey went to go get his name and find out where he needed to line up when we heard that I could walk with him. We weren't sure if this meant that I could just walk up with him or meant I could walk then and receive my diploma cover. We found out that it meant I would receive my diploma cover so that I did not have to walk during the Education College Ceremony. This actually worked out quite nicely because we were able to sit together during the ceremony, I know the Dean and most of the Professors in the School of Business where I would have only known one of the Professors in the Education Ceremony. It was definitely a wonderful experience to be able to walk together!

Joey is the first sibling in his family to graduate from college so this was a pretty big deal for him. Congratulations Joey, I love you!

We should have gotten rid of the 2nd 'E' in 'MEET' :)

Do you like Joey's green shoes?

Celebrate good times!

Whoopty wooo!
Us sitting in the Spectrum about to walk.
Thank you to my mom and dad for taking our pictures! Also thank you to Joey's parents for coming up and sharing the day with us!

What are we doing this summer? Bear Lake Cabin Rentals and sun

My brother and sister in law, Chuck and Ginger, own a cabin rental/property management business in Bear Lake called Bear Lake Cabin Rentals.  Last year they were very busy and now they have added even more cabins to the rental pool, so they have hired Emily and I to help take off some of the load.  We are very excited.  Our first summer after we were married was spent in Bear Lake, so it will be fun to be back up there.  I am especially excited.  As a soon-to-be college grad with a degree in business entrepreneurship, working in a start-up company is a lot of fun for me.  I get to wear multiple hats, implement some new things I've learned, and all that good stuff.  One thing I will be helping with a lot is doing more online marketing, especially through social media such as Facebook and Twitter.  Chuck and Ginger work really hard to make their customers happy, so it will be a great working environment.  If you know of anyone who needs a cabin this summer in Bear Lake send them our way (www.BearLakeCabinRentals.com)

We may not get out on the lake much this summer, but we'll definitely have fun and get a nice tan.

Sandbagging for homes along the Logan River

Emily and I signed up to go help sandbag along the river in Logan.  It was good fun.  We made about 700 bags.  I sat by the big truck with the sand and put the bags in the right spot for the sand to fill it up and then passed it off to be tied shut and then the bag was passed down (with Emily's help) to the stack.  If you've never sandbagged, it's a fun little activity.

Emily and the sandbags she stacked, with the river in the back. If you can see the orange stick, that is how high they need to stack the sandbags because that is how high the river might get.
