End of Summer and Adventures with Friends

I keep waiting to post a blog because I want to add pictures but now I forget all the details I want to add so I am going to go without pictures in this one.

A couple of weeks ago our friends Emilie and Garrett Wheeler came to Bear Lake to spend their Saturday with us. (Hint Hint We love when our friends come to visit us in Bear Lake, we will definitely make it worth the trip for you!!) Anyways they showed up a little later in the day than they had originally planned but it ended up being just fine because we just crammed everything into the time that we had. We went for a bike ride on the Bike Path through downtown Garden City, the trail ends at the Marina so we rode our bikes to the end of the Marina it was such a beautiful view of the Lake and all the boats! We rode back to town and got some Raspberry Shakes! We went to Blue Water and took out some Kayaks and tried to snorkel, it was a little windy so the waves made it a little murky but Joey loves to snorkel anyways! We also took out a boat and went tubing. It was so funny to watch, Joey's jaw hurt him the next day from laughing so much! Emilie's Blog about the Adventure

So last week Joey and his friend Ryan were going to Kayak across Bear Lake (North to South) but Ryan ended up hurting his hand and wrist so they decided to put that idea on pause for now. Ryan and his new bride Emily came up anyways to hangout with us (Yes we have a lot of Emily/Emilie friends!). We went snorkeling with them, they went over to the Ideal Beach Marina where there a bunch of baby fish. Then they went camping in our front yard.

Then just this weekend Tanner and Amber came up to spend the weekend with us. Being pregnant I have to sit out on a bunch of the adventures but it is still fun to have friends around and to hear the stories when they get back. Friday night we ended up just hanging out and playing games and we also stayed at one of the cabins. Saturday morning the adventures began (along with a little bit of bad luck). Joey, Tanner, and Amber went mountain biking down a trail called Bridgerland. Near the bottom of the path there are a bunch of hills that they decided to play on. Well Tanner went down one of these hills and hit a bump that ended up launching him a little further than expected, which led to him flipping his bike and leaving him in pain and with a lot of scrapes. To make the bike trip even more unlucky, Amber lost her phone somewhere along the trail. These experiences weren't going to stop them from playing still, so we headed over to Blue Water and took out some canoes. We took our Gavin with us (Joey's cousin's little boy) He was so funny but made the adventure more fun, he wanted to see fish and touch all the bouys. After canoeing we decided that we should go check the trail for Amber's phone so we took Brent's Rhino up to the trail to see if we could find it. The back luck came back and we got two flat tires on the Rhino and Joey had to walk back/get a ride to get the truck and trailer to pick up the Rhino. The boys ended up spending some time trying to get the tires back on and filled up with air. We were unable to find the phone. The fun still continued we had dinner and then they went and got in the hot tub. Sunday after church we ended up playing some more games. We miss having friends around to play games with regularly.

That is it for our Friend Adventures!

UPDATE ON US:

With summer being over there isn't much/any work for us to do for the Cabin Rentals so Joey started working for his cousin Brian at his boat rentals. For about two weeks Joey was working on location renting the machines and then after those two weeks he has been working to clean all the machines and get them winterized. Brian has also offered Joey a job for the winter to work renting Snowmobiles. We are very grateful for Brian's kindness. Not only has he offered Joey a job but he has allowed us to stay in the Fun House. The Fun House is used as employee housing during the summer, we are very grateful to have a place to live. We were living in Brent's Trailer but they sold it and the new owners were only able to rent it to us for an extra month. While Joey has been working I have been moving us in to the Fun House. It is a really nice place and will fit us and our baby perfectly! Last week we went to our first Prenatal Class, I can't believe it is getting so close that we are preparing for Labor and Delivery now. I am currently 32 and 1/2 weeks along. The end of pregnancy is getting so close it is pretty crazy.

Well that is it for now. Hopefully I can post up some pictures of our adventures and my ever growing belly!
